RØDE Blimp Windproof

The RØDE Blimp windscreen is suitable for directional shotgun microphones up to 325mm in length and 19-22mm in diameter. Greatly reduces wind noise. Includes Dead Wombat windscreen, included XLR connection cable and adjustable dual suspension system.

Characteristics

  • The Blimp is the ultimate windshield and shock mount system for RØDE shotgun microphones, as well as any third-party shotgun microphones up to 325mm in length.
  • It features a Rycote Lyre suspension system for superior handling noise isolation, plus an ultra-lightweight, ergonomic handle.
  • Inside the grip is a heavy-duty Mogami cable that splits through a junction box to a thin, flexible cable inside the Blimp, which minimizes vibration transfer to the microphone.
  • The Blimp attaches to any standard pole using a 3/8-inch threaded fitting on the base, making it perfect for location shooting.
  • Also included is a hair cover for use in adverse conditions, as well as a brush to keep the artificial hair in top condition.
